In ancient Greek mythology, “Ambrosia” referred to the ‘food or drink of the Gods’ & is
said to confer immortality to those who consumed it.
The Mediterranean can be crudely divided into three culinary regions: North African
(Morocco), eastern Mediterranean (Egypt, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, & Turkey),
& southern European (Italy, France, Spain). Wines & herbs are central to Southern
European cuisine, while spices intricately & boldly flavour North African foods.
Preparation with Halal ingredients without wines is meant to cater to the needs of the
entire spectrum of populace.
